Driving Without A Licence

Have you been accused of driving without a licence. If so, contact our specialist motoring solicitors for quality expert advice. Our solicitors successfully represent clients in police stations and Magistrates Courts throughout the South West including Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, Stroud, Salisbury, Swindon, Taunton, Weston Super Mare, Yeovil, Cardiff, Newport, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Reading, Winchester, Basingstoke, Oxford, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Poole and Exeter.

This is a potentially serious offence it carries between three and six penalty points, a fine and the Magistrates may even disqualify you from driving. Even if just points are imposed this can lead to a person having twelve points or more. In such a case our skilled motoring solicitors have an enviable success rate at saving peoples licences.

It should also be noted that most insurance policies require a driver to have a valid driving licence. If accused of driving without a licence you may therefore also be accused of driving with no insurance.

Examples of ways this offence may be committed

This offence of driving with no licence can be committed in a variety of ways including:

  • Someone drives never having passed a driving test
  • A person drives when their licence has been revoked or suspended
  • A learner driver drives without L plates or a suitable supervisor

Even if you are guilty of driving with no licence our expert motoring solicitors may be able to avoid the Magistrates exercising their discretion to disqualify or imposing any points at all by arguing special reasons.

Our skilled solicitors will be able to assess the evidence, whether at the police station or the Magistrates Courts and give quality advice as to whether a defence is available. We have over a 90% success rate at Trial. If no defence is available our solicitors can still save your driving licence.
